Maintenance Work Orders

Please call (601) 859-4032  or (601) 859-1812 (after hours and weekends) with any maintenance requests, at this time Canton Housing Authority Maintenance Technicians will only be addressing emergency work orders in order to reduce their risk of exposure to COVID-19. 

CHA provides our residents with 24-hour Maintenance After Hours, On-Call Maintenance Service. Emergency Service is just that: a service we provide in the event of a true emergency. Emergencies are the highest priority source of work and will be completed or mitigated within twenty-four (24) hours.CHA will consider a work item to be an emergency if the following occur; the deficiency that poses an immediate threat to life, health/or safety of a tenant or staff or that is related to fire safety and includes:

  1. Unhealthy or undrinkable water supply,
  2. Gas leak,
  3. Broken/blocked sanitary sewer line,
  4. Absence of a working heating system when outside temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (except for families who have a medical condition that require heating), (PIH Notice 2018-19). HUD MINIMUM HEATING STANDARDS - the PHA shall use the following minimum heating requirements for public housing dwelling units in order to comply with Section 111 of HOTMA.
